Let it be known, when I said the car would $43k-$45K USD, a couple people were like "That's not gonna happen!"

It's $43,990 which is smack dab in the middle of what I said it would be.

Talk to me nice!!!;)
in japan the same car is 34,190.03 dollars.

I actually have a dealer here that I called. The sales manager said they aren't getting any type Rs this wave, but told me there are 12 coming into the region, asked me which color I wanted, then told me the nearest dealership with that color.

"I hope you'll wait to buy one from me, but I understand if you don't. I can guarantee that my price will be better than theirs though, because who knows what they'll be doing with markups"
Which dealer is this? I'm also in NC.

Yes, but wages and purchasing power in Japan are lower than in the U.S. So while it's the equivalent of $34k USD, it "feels" about the same as someone in the US spending $44k, if that makes sense. I've seen a few Japanese-based YouTubers discussing it recently.

the LE was $44,990

the price is a tad higher than i thought, however being built in japan the car i'm sure is built to higher standards so i'm okay with it
