Yes, but wages and purchasing power in Japan are lower than in the U.S. So while it's the equivalent of $34k USD, it "feels" about the same as someone in the US spending $44k, if that makes sense. I've seen a few Japanese-based YouTubers discussing it recently.
I'm in a weird spot because I've never owned a Honda, though I've always been a fan. I've had Toyota, Mazda, Subaru, but never a Honda. The Type R has been calling to me, and I have been trying to figure out how to snag one.
