I wasn't a fan of Red on the FK8, but I think it looks really good on the FL5. I'd honestly take any color except for SGP. My preferred would be Boost Blue though
Curious question, let's say someone in my vicinity got a color I wanted and I got a color they wanted. How hard would it be to trade them up before registration, obviously so you don't end up paying double tax lol. Stupid resale laws. I find tax on used cars should not be a thing in Canada.

Wow! Been pretty committed to CW so far, but gotta admit, Rallye Red gives me funny feelings in my pants...

to be fair...the car was amazing, sure it looked over the top but it was for the most part functional (fake vents are on a lot cars)

he doesn't drive on the track enough to know without the wing it would handle like shit, he just does pulls on an on-ramp onto an interstate, never actually seen a track

i am pretty sure honda doesn't care what one guy who has never liked honda thinks, all other reviewers loved it
Doug appeals to a certain crowd and I do enjoy watching him. More for the "quirks" and things others may miss. He touches on things others don't discuss. Things he mentions you may read in a magazine doing a long term review.

What he brings up others have repeated.

I understand the theme feels like is bashing it but I don't think he is wrong about anything.

Sure, Honda didn't research Doug video when working up the FL5. However it certainly feels that way. They addressed somethings he said in the refresh and the FL5 seems to take care of the rest.

"In other words"

Maybe what he said isn't that unreasonable. Dramatic sure... but I don't know where he is wrong.

For those of us us who were fortunate enough to drive or own an FK8. I'm confident it exceeded even the loftiest expectations.

He does drive the vehicle on the track. He mentions it on the video. Still, he has driven quite an impressive list of cars to compare it.

I could never do an FK8 as amazing as it is for the reasons he mentioned, I would buy something else. Savagegeese, Chris Harris and a list of others have mentioned similar thoughts. Horrible infotainment, over the top styling etc...

Funny but worthless clip...

I would bet it would be a huge PIA. When I bought my Si, I had to take a loan out for it and rolled the taxes into the loan. However the dealer could hold off on the registration part, but at least for my state, I'd still have to pay the sales tax on both. So I'd only be saving the $35 registration fee.

The more thought I gave to color... the more I leaned to RR. Then I saw an FK8 in it and loved it.

RR is first first for me. CW next. Not sure I'll buy a CTR if it isn't one of them.

Do sneakers count if I put wheels on them?
I think I've been saying no to RR for a long time now. For some reason. With some of the more recent pictures I'm opening up to it. I guess I'm in the state of I'll take whatever color I can get. Or am I just getting desperate?!

Also... great to see that dates are starting to line up! Keep the info coming!! Just a few more weeks.

I think an aggressively designed sports car coupled with an aggressive color such as red compounds to be too much. But the FL5’s toned down styling allows for some room for that red to make a statement without taking things overboard.

Jakub says in his IG comments that video will be coming out next week. Maybe this is a launch event with the MSRP being shared (hopefully) and the press drives and embargo for impressions is actually when the cars will be showing up at dealers in early November. He does make it sound like he will be driving it though.

Timing their launch and pricing around the US Grand Prix makes sense!
