I agree, full disclosure I never liked the FK8 design. As soon as I saw the FL5 I right away knew I had to get one.

Get one before Type R becomes electric! I'm not super optimistic for the electric era. Maybe I will feel differently in the future, but atm after all cars become electric, my love for cars might also die.

I'd probably be more excited for something like hydrogen fueled or a different alternate fuel...

The Model 3 weighs 3500-4000 lbs, takes at least 20 minutes for a reasonable charge, and is priced at a luxury-car level.

Hybrid technology is the way to go IMO. It's a relatively mature technology, allows for significant improvements in fuel economy, doesn't weigh much more than current ICE tech, and takes only minutes to refuel.

My guess is 8.5% rate. My suggestion, if you're thinking of financing with Honda, try to find alternative ways, at least as a back up.
ya better start asking around banks and CU's

Maybe secure line of credit or home equity. If Honda gives 6.5 rate you probably won't find better at this time.

Let's hope they don't get griddy like Nissan (400z) and ask for 8.5.

I was doing some internet searching and I came by these 2 Honda dealerships that people might still be lucky to get a reservation with. Maybe already too late who knows, but if someone is actually willing to go out of province give these guys a shout or check out their website.

Capital Honda in Charlottetown PEI and Steele Honda in St John's NL.

Probably a long shot but maybe check out the website on these 2 dealerships as well.

Waterloo Honda and Chatham Honda both in ON.

I’ve also been asked by my dealer which colour I want — SGP and they said it probably won’t be any time soon ?

In other news, next week will be Bank of Canada announcement and it sounds like Bank of Canada rate will be increasing once again.

When I was trying to get a deposit in, I tried at some of the dealerships outside the GTA but none of them wanted to take my deposit because of location. I guess it could depend on the dealership but worth knowing.

I understand why they're doing it but how long is this seriously going to go on for?

Apparently until inflation is at 2% lol. It's at 7 atm.

And that is weird to hear regarding dealerships not taking deposits outside of GTA, why would it matter to them? Would be so hard to find a dealership in GTA that doesn't already have 10 people on a wait list...

I found my current dealership by emailing literally every dealership in my province. Most responded but I was not #1 on the list, but I did get lucky I think. Time will tell.

October and December announcement before the end of the year. We will continue to see increases until inflation starts to decline at which point rates should plateau throughout 2023 however we will likely not see any reduction to interest rates until Q4 2023 or Q1 2024 at the earliest.

This can completely change and doesn’t factor other external pressures but based on todays market this is what economists are predicting.
