There was a press release about the production limitations of the Yorii factory where the FL5 is made. Luckily the development costs of the FL5 are paid for by the thousands of crossovers that get shipped every month.

There would be no GT3, GT3-RS, GT4, GT2-RS, etc. if it wasn't for the Cayenne and Macan.

You made it seem like you had some source last time you mentioned this.

I can find news articles that say 400 a month for Japanese market. Even the Japanese Honda website says that.

I see nothing about production of 400.

I see nothing about production of 400.

I do have a source, he’s a media partner with Honda. That’s what he told me. 4800 Type Rs per year which is subject to change

probably will change...
if memory serves, which can be spoty these days, the FK8 originally was slated for 13k units, but in the end, I think I saw plaque # close to 60k.

probably will change...
if memory serves, which can be spoty these days, the FK8 originally was slated for 13k units, but in the end, I think I saw plaque # close to 60k.
not sure how accurate it was but says 48k produced total with 20k units for the US

I think there is more recent from Japan that says they will ramp to a higher output. Its in this forum somewhere.

I read somewhere Type R will only be sold for 3 yrs. Is that true or bs? Wow I was hoping for at least 5 to 7yrs of production.

I haven't seen anything the says one way or another.

Honda car models usually run for 5 years. So 3 years, refresh goes for two years then they redesign.

The 11th gen is heading into the second year.
