To that end, unless you have an inside source, better than the numerous people on here, who have pretty decent sources for information, that can prove your theory, with actual evidence, then it’s nothing more than your opinion…and as far as I can tell, no one knows what will happen.
If he doesn't mind... I'll answer this.

It would be an anomaly for the car to be ordered, built and shipped with enough time to arrive to stateside if orders do not happen on Monday.

I know many feel that Honda perhaps is building them as we speak and will just release them. That would also be an anomaly.

The cars we are ordering will be produced on various days but... October into November is what Honda dealers are ordering now. This of course is assuming no delays or production cuts (like we see in TV). It takes two weeks from a vehicle to leave a US plant and arrive to a dealership on average. Though lately it seems even longer.

So if they are not going to be ordered in Monday it's going to be ha d to imagine... Again without an anomaly and delays that the car will be here before the end of the year.

How he is looking at this is exactly how I do too.

Well, it sure is nice, 4 months before the end of the year, to see people in Japan are posting pictures of their new Type R. If things are as bad now, as everyone has confined to saying it is, guess we can just shut down this forum and come back sometime around March, but maybe we will get lucky and at least sometime next week, maybe during the Detroit Auto Show, Honda will come out and for once gives us an update reverberating what everyone evidently already knows, that this car is not arriving in NA until next year.

Ok like I said yesterday I test drove a Si today and it was awesome! I can’t wait for my Type R.

ALSO! The owner of my Honda dealership guaranteed me I’ll have my Type R before years end. He was quite confident of that. So I’m officially blocking out all the negative posts on here and am just going to enjoy all the pictures and details posted here until then!?

I wouldn't consider the posts negative, more like realistic. This will not be an easy car to get for at least 1-2 years. After that, who knows?

Once all the journalists start raving about how amazing it is the demand will 2-3x from where it is now so hopefully supply issues are figured out by then.

All of us regulars on the forum right now are just weirdos way too excited about a car. Haha.

Someone put a poll up. Im in on mid Oct if included in upcoming order. If not, mid to late November- Honda is cranking them out like hotcakes judging by dealer numbers and deliveries already made. Stay vigilant, Christmas gifts on the way.

I’m with you, although I’m guessing mid November/December.

They also had a MDX Type S in the showroom! Dang that thing is nice but….. $98,000.00 cnd. plus tax!

Today, I took my gf to get her a new car (used accord) and I asked dealer how much of mark up he would charge for an fl5. He said 70k with adm, straight up to my face. 25k mark up. 25k. Its not his fault but I wanted to punch him in the face and throw his ugly ass rolex into the pond next to me. Yeah, I shouldve done that.
