I'd love the Anniversary, but the markups on it will be higher than the FL5's ^^
Have plans to swap the mirror caps to black, tint windows, and put on some Enkei PX-10s or the like for a sleek, OEM+ look
LoL that makes sense.

....which in my opinion is still a deal considering most 18-19 fk8's are selling for this and type r's don't lose value like other vehicles do.
Crazy but true. I'm seeing more and more FK8s in my area in the low 50s. Being able to buy a brand-new FL5 at the same price suddenly seems much more reasonable. Just one example:

2021 Type R - Lexus of Concord - $52K

Supply & Demand - sometimes it swings in your favor, other times not.
Like some others, I was lucky to get my '17 FK8 @ msrp ($34,775) and you can imagine my shock looking at its current value. ?

That's how supply & demand works. ^^
Prices adjust according to demand and supply.
If demand is high and supply is low (which is the case for both the FK8 and FL5), prices go up to try and match that demand.
A thing's value is only worth what people are willing to pay for it, unless its priceless. ?

thats what i'm saying. I haven't looked at the used R market, are they really selling for what dealers are gouging? I know for sure the Golf R's are sitting at 50k.

..Just to clarify, because there is nothing more important to me than winning an argument on the internet... with an individual I'll never meet....
In that case my original comment and response was on the location where the first CivicX photo of a production Gen 10 CTR (FK8) on an auto transporter was taken. (Anyway interesting exchange while we await the FL5)

I'm pretty sure all of us have said that at some point with one of our previous cars ?
In my case, it's (likely) true! I tend to go through my cars pretty slowly, and ever since selling my first S2000, I've come to realize that it pays to hold on to special vehicles. I'm hoping and assuming that the FL5 will be such a vehicle, for many, many reasons.

I keep my cars about 5 years at most. We'll see if I get bored with the FL5 if I could even find one. I definitely know that a 997 GT3 is my car goal and once I achieve that its my forever car.

i mean at $10k over you're like $55kish out the door probably....which in my opinion is still a deal considering most 18-19 fk8's are selling for this and type r's don't lose value like other vehicles do. but like said, if you're comfortable, have the money and want the car badly...$10k isn't the end of the world when you're financing it and definitely not an issue if you're buying it cash anyways.
In the grand scheme of Type Rs, 10k isn’t so bad. It will be worth more than that on the second hand market initially. I’m sure we’re gonna see a few ppl flip them.

Depends where you are in the US, but yea all FK8 Type Rs are selling high.
Golf Rs are solid as well with the new Mk8 redesign being very high.
