I'm not sure if 4k globally across 3 years is "mass produced", assuming those numbers provided by that Japanese source is correct. Just because Honda said it wasn't limited (at the last event), doesn't mean ending volume will be equal to a base civics numbers. IMO, if anyone considers the FL5 volume to be "mass' that's kinda silly, with all the details provided thus far, could still change.First of all it never sold outside japan and it sold at nearly 80k. Same reason why you can still find s209 new, same reason honda made 20 mugen civics and they couldnt sell them all. This is a mass produced product build to be sold all around the world.
Even more of a problem is US customers learning details through grape vines instead of from Honda who has been absent through the process.I'm not sure if 4k globally across 3 years is "mass produced", assuming those numbers provided by that Japanese source is correct. The 22B was a one off of the Subie brand, we have no idea if the FL5 will or will not be such. Again, depends on the final volume. But @ this 4K volume, it's pretty similar to if the 22B was provided globally no?
The GRC is stated to be limited by Toyota and they are making 6,600 annually. So potentially 15k over 3 years. So ....
This is all fun and games speculating, but if any of this shit is true when news breaks in 1 months time. The real fun will begin lol.Even more of a problem is US customers learning details through grape vines instead of from Honda who has been absent through the process.
I think my driving it during winter plan might change also LMAO.*breaths deeply.
I'm just going to be cool and wait for official N/A Honda info.
If its really only 4k units and if I truly have a chance at one... I'm not sure I'm willing to let it be my daily driver as I originally projected.
"....sales for the 2022 Honda Civic are down a whopping 40%". Don't think using 2021 as a benchmark going forward will work unless all the global BS is resolved. They sold 260k civics last year, in general civic sales are falling in favor for the Crv and Hrv crossovers so they can easily bring 10 to 20k a year.
Considering all the global bs. Accords and Civics are dying, US buyers are not buying sedans. Honda sold 360k crvs last year even with a supply crunch vs 260k civics. Eventually both civics and accords will turn in to crossovers."....sales for the 2022 Honda Civic are down a whopping 40%". The CRV is 100% the Honda bread and butter in terms of volume. But a 40% YoY% decline has more to do with the manufacturing constraints (and supplier logistics) vs. Demand. It's just highlights how shit things are right now.Considering all the global bs. Accords and Civics are dying, US buyers are not buying sedans. Rav4 is my area for the prime is on a 2 year waitlist lol. I wanted the prime, cause of EV rebates. Can't even get one if I was willing to pay markups.Crv is on last model year, sales tend to fall off. Rav4 sure hasnt been affected sales wise due to the pandemic
