Well I’ve been running The Type S Module for a while since before my recent Spoon Sport Springs added . Been very happy and I’ve been mostly running Sport mode seems to be the sweet spot . Comfort felt a little sloppy in town best way to describe it with the Spoon springs and Type S module but on the freeway just cruising it was perfect in comfort. R mode felt firm but nice on the Twisties if the roads are smooth. Really I was pretty happy but figured since the Spoon Springs were tested and Built around the Stock type R ADS I thought why not swap back since I haven’t experienced the Spoon Springs as they were intended and tested with. I’ve been procrastinating and finally swapped back to stock. Haven’t driven it yet but I’ll post back with my thoughts after some seat time on the streets and on the twisties.

I’ll definitely let you know 👍🏻
So far with just a short ride down familiar Roads in all modes I think I prefer the stock ADS mated with the spoon springs. But I want a little more seat time with it but I’ll for sure let you know.

Just got back from a quick ride down some familiar roads. I like the firmness also no slop in comfort with the type r ads mated with the spoon springs. Checked every mode and really liking every one of them so far. The spoon springs definitely take the harshness away with the stock ads . I also think with a stock suspension the type S module is the way to go but not with the spoon springs 👍🏻
Again early on but dont think my thoughts will change from my initial impressions.

A little confused, can someone explain. Are the Spoon springs softer than the OEM springs? Because based on this chart that someone graciously made I thought the Spoon springs are stiffer which paired with the TYPE R module would be super stiff.

Damper control module doesn't make springs stiffer, dampers only control the spring oscillations. If a spring is stiffer the damper needs to match it with appropriate compression and rebound resistance.

I understand part of what you said.

How come people like the OEM ADS with Spoon springs but not with them OEM springs is what I’m curious about

Everyone has their own unique opinions and perspectives based on what they are used to, the unique environment they drive in, etc. I would not put all your eggs in the Internet Opinion Basket.

People love horrible movies and horrible food. People think ugly women are beautiful. People love plenty of things that don't make sense, usually its just ignorance and first world boredom, changing things just to change them even if it makes it worse. The feeling of accomplishment I guess.

Like mentioned people have different needs and opinions. My opinion is what I felt when comparing the two to me it was a big difference. Most importantly Spoon is well respected and knowledgeable that make great products known for being OEM + and they tested and designed these springs around the stock ads. Testing it on the track and the streets 👍🏻

No worries and Facts can definitely out way opinions 👍🏻
Sometimes it’s a learning curve for us all and opinions can change and vary but facts don’t.
With that being said IMO :) Spoon Springs with the stock module is the way to go.

We will see. I’m going to Sebring Raceway Tuesday on stock springs and ITS ADS. Depending on how the car feels I may copy you lol
