I installed the R400 system this past weekend and am pretty excited about how it turned out. Full transparency, I also installed the PRL RMM while the factory exhaust was off, which took maybe all of three minutes to swap out.

Regarding the R400, of course there’s some drone, but that’s the nature of anything in the R400 line. I feel like this system is certainly tolerable and driving around town has been pleasant. I don’t stay high in the rev range and most of my commute is 45 mph, so I’m enjoying the sound with minimal drone. It’s quiet when I need it to be and loud when I want it to be.

Also, big shout out to Humza at @Unity Performance. Dude’s great to work with and customer service from Unity was solid.

Thank you for sharing! The beauty of the FL5 over the FK8 platform is the valve exhaust came standard, and many aftermarket manufacturers have chosen to build systems which retain that key feature. I would not personally run the R400 on the FK8, but having experienced R400 with valve closed in Comfort, it is tolerable :)

We're about to receive the Q300's for the FL5's as well which we asked Invidia USA to special order for us. Those are definitely for the folks looking for an OEM+ setup in terms of volume.

My own FL5 is currently in transit on a ship from Japan, and the Q300 is high up on my list since I am planning on pairing it up with the Invidia Catted Downpipe - this DP hasn't received much love yet since most don't know it exists.

I thought you already had the Q300. Or is this different than what you have installed on the DE5?

DE5 and FL5 variants are slightly different fitment due to lengths. Invidia USA didn't originally plan on bringing Q300 for the FL5 to the States but we convinced them otherwise.

Now you can have either for each car :)

By any chance I know invidia exhaust is the signature look on burnt tips but they have this polished? I gave up in trying to find something that has 3 tips and don’t come out off the bumper too much. I’m in between this exhaust Remark and Hybrid Racing but the last doesn’t have three tip but let’s you adjust the tips to sit flush with the bumper. Maybe is stupid but that what is trow me off on this exhausts they look good on the DE5 bumper but on FL5 is a little odd in my opinion. Also will not pay for a part to have it in 2 years like all the JDM companies do I can’t deal with that type of business model just for the sake of JDM not bashing the people that buy stuff that way it’s just not for me.

As far as I’m aware, it’s just burnt tips and black tips. I feel like the anomaly having installed black tips, but they blend in with the diffuser very well.

I'm loving this exhaust. Just picked one up used from 50Cal.

It's def boomy/bassy, which I love. I do wish the center tip would go back more, but I guess there was never any intention of allowing adjustments for it? I don't get why when the outer two can be adjusted lol.

I've had apexi, milltek, awe, MXP, remark and now this. I also have Mugen which I'll be keeping still.

Overall for me I wanted something more deep to help with running a RV6 catted downpipe.

Looks like really solid aesthetic choices all around. Pictures like these are why I ended up buying mine. I think I plan to head down the Remark or Invidia route. Do you have any comments comparing these two? Invidia ticks all the boxes (triple tip, Titanium tips, flanges instead of slipfit, front pipe included) for about $450-500 less than Remark.

Also would you mind mentioning your tint %? looks like 30 maybe? I like it a lot.

I had the two tip remark, it sounded good, but not as deep. I'd say invidia definitely will have drone compared to remark. As for the tint, no idea, I just said put whatever won't get me pulled over in Maryland lol
