Ultra Racing has released their front strut bar for the FL5. They have been in the chassis bracing game for a while, and are well known in the honda world. So I’m excited to have been part of test fitting for them

Install was straightforward, the one-piece design adds rigidity while having less failure points and still allowing access to the upper area of the engine bay.

I’m also running their rear subframe brace and the car feels sharper. It’ll be a great complement to future suspension mods, sway bars, etc. And it looks cool in white.

Looks good. However, I would caution that 2 of your 3 tower bolts aren’t showing 1-1/2 thread protruding past your tower nuts, which may lead to axial/stripping failure.

Thanks for the words of caution. Their philosophy is around utilizing oem hardware with a minimalist design. I’ve run braces from them in the past and tracked with them. UR also has a shop race car EK running similar designs without issue. But I will definitely look into those bolts.

I know this is old. But the rear subframe. How was the install? Does it interfere with your exhaust at all? Did you ever get the front subframe bar?

Had it done by a shop, but no issues with install. Doesn’t interfere with my AWE exhaust, but I can’t speak for others. And haven’t gotten the front subframe. It has been so long, you’ve reminded me to take a look at that now lol.

This bar won't add much stiffness in my opinion (I'm an engineer). The bar is welded to vertical plates without gussets to the strut tower flange. The vertical plates and flanges will bend under load.
