Hey yall, the bottom of VA here. Working out my plan for my ’25 FL5. I daily the car for now, but I do want real power — long-term goal is around 500whp give or take, safely and reliably. I’ve crawled the forums a bit & seen some takes to mostly get where I’m at.

Current plan:
  • PRL Intake + PRL turbo inlet (TSP coupler eventually)
  • PRL Intercooler + PRL charge pipes
  • TSP High Efficiency catted downpipe + blanket
  • RMM (Wunderladen or PRL)
  • Hondata FlashPro

Next stage I’m thinking:
  • Full fueling upgrade
  • Kuro+ turbo
  • Exhaust (not overly concerned off the rip, curious to see what is sounds like after the initial mods—family and all LOL)
What I’m trying to figure out:

For people who’ve done similar builds, is it worth running the TSP Stage 1 tune with bolt-ons first, or should I skip right to a custom tune since I’m planning fueling + Kuro anyway? Does the “off-the-shelf first” route make sense, or do you just end up paying twice?

Also curious what order folks recommend here:
  • Kuro first (+ or not, I’ve see excellent sentiment regarding the base) on stock fueling with a tune?
  • Fueling first? (I wouldn’t run ethanol much as it’s not extremely local)
  • Or don’t touch the turbo until you have fueling + custom tune ready? I know you don’t get max potential until fuel is in order yada yada yada but I’d appreciate any real-world feedback from people who’ve already been down this road. Looking forward the replies and looking forward to building some community!
