Hey all

so I was running the factory FL5 wheels with a set of vredestein hypertrac 275/35-19. It filled the wheel out nicely and gives me a much better winter tire and then there’s the ride lol shockingly more supple. Which is much appreciated at my advanced age.

I was running a 5 mm spacer off the TLX Type S, which looked good, bringing it out just a little bit, so along with the bigger tires it fit nicely.

But…

I’m making a set of wheels soon, so I wanted to get some different spacers to help decide on offset.

Because the rarest slightly wider than the front, I went with a 13 mm upfront and a 15 mm in the back. I thought I ordered 12 mm but… It is what it is.

Everything fit up nicely and the car looks much more aggressive. When the new wheels come, there will be no spacers or… I’ll run a 5 mm on the rear to even things out a bit.

The pictures don’t do it justice but… Oh, and I also disabled the damn fake engine noise lol God is that annoying. Why he would do that in a car like this I have no idea. Sounds much better now.

Which brand spacers did you use? And did you need longer bolts for the front? Or did the spacer come with it attached already?

Interesting. Didn’t realize you could get studded spacers less than 15mm. I wonder what the smallest possible is. My guess is 13 and that why you didn’t get the 12mm. But I’ll look into it. I wanted to go as low as 10mm but don’t think that’s doable on studded spacers.

I think 12 would’ve fit fine. But regardless, this just gives me a good starting point for the wheels.

So I finally got a good look at the car now that the weather is a tad warmer today although still snowy. But with the 15 rear and 13 front, it looks really good! It’s about the same distance when looking at the fender. Once the rear is a little wider, I wanted to bring that out a little bit so I did the 15’s rear and 13’s front.
The pictures don’t do it justice but…
