Hey guys just wanted to show you guys my build and for those who are trying to get 500whp. Hondata HPFP was limiting my ethanol count. I would recommend getting xdi or full race for more power. I will definitely be changing my hpfp down the road. Car is tuned by Hybridworks in Vallejo, Ca

Nice setup so far and very stealth lol. Few upgrades and you will easily join the 550+ club. I am going with the Full-Race HPFP and Hondata 2000cc Injectors on my build so I dont have to worry about running out of fuel. Keep us updated if you change things up but looking great so far :headbang:

Sweet build !
Quick question I’m from California also and just running a PRL HVI and was wondering are they smog compliant in Cali. I think I have to smog my 24 FL5 next year. Is it every 2 years smog needed here to get tags? Only been out here a little over a year but anyway wasn’t sure if I need to put the stock intake back on or if it’ll pass like that.
Thanks in advance
EDIT AND UPDATE for those interested I just found out In California a new car is exempt from smog for 8 years 🙌
At least that’s what Siris said when I asked 😆
I also contacted PRL and they said it would not pass visual inspections and it’s made for the race track/off road only. My apologies not wanting to derail your build thread just thought it might be helpful.

Which is one of the reasons I just got Cobb intake (CARB EO number D-660-272)

The other is that I will shortly get the Cobb AccessPort

Both standard and carbon fiber PRL HVI have SEMA SC-E approval for 49 states but neither has a CARB EO. When I asked, PRL said it was due to the high cost of CARB certification

Also the other intake I looked at, the 27Won does not have CARB certification

Yeah prior to getting my PRL they said they were in the process of getting it certified . Not sure if it’s still in the process but when I asked them now a few months later I posted what they said. Now knowing I have 8 years for smog im not to concerned and I kept the stock intake down to every bolt. I did the install so reversing it should be pretty straight forward if need be. Just was hoping to get around it also I’ve never kept a car longer then four years my entire life but. .. this FL5 is definitely one I really want to keep I feel like I’m still on the honeymoon going on 2 years. Love my PRL also best bang for the buck out there imo even if it’s not smog certified in my state .
I totally understand your reasoning for going with the Cobb though with your application and plans with your build 👍🏻

I plan on running Hondata HPFP plus Hondata 2000cc injectors. How much of difference would full race HPFP make? On MHI turbo
