Depending on traffic I get about 34-38 mpg. One time I saw 39 mpg. Running Redline 0w-20.

My on-board dash tells me 23.2mpg, however, my actually mpg log shows average 19.9mpg since my first pump to-date. LOL

Average after 15k miles is 27 with 50/50 highway / city. On highway I get 35 just driving like a commuter. Ive found speed through corners takes little push and brings the most joy. Beemers are for stoplights, the R is for everything else.

I don't commute so when I do drive around town I get into boost often ? I'm also too reliant on my R8 to avoid trouble on the empty highways..

So you jam down in residential or city blocks? I could see clovers, twisties or the highway. Otherwise your begging for trouble.

Oh no lol. I just do maybe a few miles on highway or big surface streets with a stoplight every mile or something. I don't speed in traffic. It's pretty empty around here aside from the small city I live near. The R8 is for wide open interstate when I need to go out of town ?

And half throttle in 2nd and 3rd is fun with the tune I have too ?

That's what I got on a road trip. From the right is mostly city driving, then mostly country roads. After that is the longest leg with blends of freeway, slower country roads and 3,000ft drop worth of fast turns.

Calculating actual gas mileage with the gas pump, the car usually reads close to my driving (mostly as low as 5 percent more than actual), which is pretty good.

Turns out as long as I am not cruising over 3k rpm on the freeway for a good amount of time, the gas tank is not crazy small (it is still shallow for back roads)

So clearly something is up with my car. I have a 2025 with just over 1k miles. This car is getting horrible mpg. I drive normal, barely ever get on boost… i drive a mix of street and highway. Can their be something wrong here?

If I have to guess, I'd say yes :-(

Fairly aggressive driving, mostly local rural roads and city, about 10% freeway.

2k miles, 8 fill-ups, avg 24.5 mpg (using actual milage and gallons filled)

Though the lying car reports higher, 25-26 mpg

I find it fairly amazing that people are getting over 30 and someone above even managed to get 38 mpg!

I wish I had such self restraint :)

have you calculated actual miles driven divided by gallons filled?

could be that the car's trip computer is wrong (or displaying just the most recent trip, not tankful).

I ain't even close :(
I'm at 22.6 and I'm not flooring it also :(
I'm at 23.9 and I'm flooring it every chance I get, but it's also balanced out by long highway rides where I'm cruising at 70 in 6th gear.

Yeah, this.
Something would have to be very wrong to get the mileage it's displaying.
Especially the way you said you drive.

I haven’t reset my minder the entire time I have owned it so this is a true life time score of 27.7mpg. I do mostly highway and FM road miles at 60 to 75 mph
