Wanted to drop some early feedback we just got on the COBB intercooler for the FL5, and the results are really promising so far.


One of our customers noticed an immediate difference in cooling performance. With the stock intercooler, highway cruising IATs typically sat about 30–40°F over ambient once everything was heat-soaked. After switching to the COBB core, those same conditions dropped to around 20°F over ambient and stayed locked in there. That’s a pretty solid improvement for simple daily driving/steady-state airflow.


More spirited testing is coming, but early signs point to the COBB unit doing exactly what it should keeping temps stable and resisting heat-soak way better than OEM. Great start so far.
