Hello all,
I have a 2025 Civic sport (gas) purchased less than a year ago in Canada, at around 6k kilometers (~3700 miles).
I had issues with my vehicle shaking recently and when I brought it to the dealer, they took a quite long time to identify that the air/fuel ratio was off in one of the cylinders and then they identified that the cylinder head was damaged -- most likely directly from the factory. They now say that the cylinder head will be replaced. All under warranty, of course.
I will also ask these to my dealer, but I wanted to consult the community on a couple of questions:
1. Would the resale value of my car be affected because such a major repair happened in its first year?
2. What are the circumstances under which they would replace the car under warranty, since my car seems to have came out of the factory damaged? Is it a long shot to expect this?
3. What actions would you suggest I take? Is there anything I can do apart from sitting and waiting for the dealer to finish the repair?
Thank you so much!
