Hey all, new to the forum. The original plan was to sell my S2000 to get an FL5, but truth me told I couldn't go through with it. So I sold my Mazda 3 and got myself a sweet deal on this new Civic Si. Bought it right off the showroom floor with 5 miles on the dash. Car was bought in Chantilly, VA at the Pohanka Honda of Chantilly.

This was bought on the 7th, and I've already driven 420 miles (nice).

Love this thing, it's not a Type R, but it still packs a nice punch for the price tag. Now that I have this, I plan to restore my S2K. But depending on how froggy I get, I may get the flashpro and do a little bit of an OEM+ build. Anyways can't wait for the journey with this car. Glad to be a part of the club!

Sure does, hoping to finally carve out some time to bring it back to its former glory. It's been sitting for basically 2 years at this point. Removing the powertrain here in a couple weeks to do a motor refresh and then prep the body for paint.

You can put in the drop in CTR motor from Science of Speed and it would be like having part of the FL5.

I have tossed that idea around, lol. I was thinking along the lines of high revving K24 build. Only if the F20C needs a rebuild though.

I would try to rebuild it. It’s a good motor. 9k redline and NA with no heating issues. Good luck.

Sweet S2K. Hoping to get my hands on one of those some day.
Enjoy the Si! I had, and still have, a ton of fun with mine.

Welcome and Congrats! This is a great platform, although the Mazda3 is an amazing handling commuter car.

S2K is definitely a super fun car, even stock. I plan to have fun with my Si now and I am in the phase of just binge watching videos and stumbled upon yours for the PRL titanium inlet Pipe install.

It wasn't a speed3 unfortunately, I just had the sedan but it definitely was a perfect daily until I got plagued by some mysterious limp mode issues. Well not so mysterious, pretty sure it was the PCM and was just too lazy to do anything about it. Plus also a good excuse to get a new car lol

For me, when it comes to FWD fun to drive in an inexpensive package, the Mazda3 is hard to beat. At least before the latest generation.
Before my 2018 Civic Hatch LX, I also drove an entry level Mazda3 hatch. Even after installing Si springs on the Civic it still wasn't as fun as the Mazda3, especially the front end...
Takes an Si I guess, ;)
