I've had it on my FK8. Obviously slightly different this time with the valve. I'd recommend getting a valve controller or using the fuse mode to keep the valve open.
MXP is slightly deep, it'll be deeper sounding than AWE and not as obnoxious as AWE can be at times. However, it's not as deep as my apexi N1 I have for the FL5.

Good exhaust though, no rattles, etc, they do good work at making those. As for drone, basically none imo, I'd imagine if you had a valve controller (like one from milltek) you could close it when you don't feel like hearing it as much.
I'm leaning more toward the apexi or maybe a remark, but the mxp is definitely budget friendly.

How do you like the apexi? Do you have any sound clips you could share?

The apexi is amazing. Super deep, much deeper than AWE. I have some clips on IG, under battlemikefk8 and also on youtube.

I do have to admit I go back and forth between my apexi and my awe touring lol. I like the AWE Tips more and also like the crackle sounds AWE has. But, AWE sounds a bit higher pitch sounding (touring does anyway).

Right now I put the awe back on...I keep one exhaust on for like a week and switch to the other one lol.

Also, Apexi has almost no drone and at times still has that like garble sound...but not as pronounced as AWE is.

AWE's muffler isn't great, it sound like it's cheap to me, hard to explain

Vids:
Daily driving with Apexi

Revving the AWE up:

Revving Apexi up, prior to GruppeM intake install lol

I've talked to you on fb before ha . I've watched your clips like 100x ha. I really like the apexi, but I'm afraid it won't be rowdy enough. I want the awe track noise without the drone. Love the bubbles and pops, if I could get that with the apexi I'd be sold. If I remember you have a dp and a tune right?

yeah, that's about right lol. Apexi isn't rowdy, but it is loud when you get on it...just doesn't have that agressive crackle sound like AWE will have.

yeah, running rv6 downpipe and a tune. The apexi has some bubbly/garble type of sound to it at times. But it's such a deep sounding exhaust, it barely does that

APEXi is definitely loud enough in my opinion. The MXP is slightly less sound in comparison but the drone is less than both AWE and Apexi. Once you go Downpipe both come alive.

Something keeps telling me apexi, I'll eventually get a dp and a tune. Do you have the front pipe?

Can I ask which tune this is? Is the valve closes in the beginning? It sounds a little muffled before that glorious growl.
yeah, sounds like the factory valve is active. Hence why I mentioned a controller for that

As for the front pipe on my apexi, just running stock run pipe for now.

I have a custom tune by 1to1 Tuning, MikeTheTuner on IG. I haven't tried those pops/bangs, I really don't care for those tunes lol. Feel like it'll blow something up.

Ha I gotcha . I haven't ever tried tuning anything before but I'm tempted. I think a light burb is okay but some can destroy the cats from what I understand. I appreciate the info, I just need to find an apexi in stock.

I am on a custom tune from IMW but basically just enabled the burbles and yes in the beginning hte tune was set in Comfort so it was closed then went into sport/R mode where it sounds amazing.
Also i am on MXP Front Pipe currently.

I was on APEX'i before I went MXP. I truly love both exhausts, they both sound amazing once they are opened up.

That sound is the ideal goal, with that tune, how is the noise in the cabin?

Did you happen to have that tune with the apexi? I'd love to hear it.

Cabin noise is fine, to be honest i never realized how loud the pops were until I did this video. From the inside I could barely tell, then i saw this recording and was like, OH , thats what is sounds like??

I was tuned on my APEXi but didnt have the pops tune at the time. I don't think I did any recording with it but I will double check. I was tuned paired with their front pipe.
