I'm going to regret this, but I don't like obsessing over it and worrying about it. I got it in October 23 after a 2 year wait on a pre-order, and I just never drive it.

Just under 600 miles on the odometer. I did oil/filter change at 500 miles, with Pennzoil UP 0w-20 and OEM filter, added moly MS02 to make up for the "factory grease" dilute. Blackstone lab report came in today, very close to OEM moly levels. Paint is in immaculate condition. It has never even been on a highway, only North Georgia backroads. Adult driven, no burnouts rev limiter, or silly BS.

Mods are:
Sukebon wheels flaps Front and Rear (rears not installed).
OEM Homelink auto dim rearview mirror with meticulous installation.
3D maxpider all weather floor mats Front and Rear, OEM red mats are like new in a bag.
Matte glass touchscreen protector.
Powerflex rear motor mount insert (70A yellow/street).
Fumoto drain plug.
I have the build sheet, and all OEM paper work.

No tint, PPF, no auto car washes, etc. I did some Xpel precut PPF on the piano black front and rear door trim to prevent scratches, but that didn't turn out great. Probably needs to be redone to get rid of bubbles. I've never driven the car in the rain, garage kept, never worn blue jeans in it. Really excellent condition.

"never worn blue jeans in it."

Alright I gotta ask. Are blue jeans bad for the alacantra or something?

I'm sorry to hear you haven't even been able to get enjoyment out of the car. I understand that this is a somewhat special car but it's a shame you've barely broken it in. If you've already made up your mind to sell it you might as well go thrash it on some backroads to really see what's special about it before it goes. ;)

Side note: I wear jeans daily for a year in my car and haven't really noticed any staining. I'd be concerned with a brand new pair but not ones that have been washed multiple times.

Car is SOLD everyone. It’s going to appear in Hennessy Honda of Woodstock used inventory any day now. I traded on a CRV Sport-L to downsize my 4 car family fleet to 3. Currently rearranged budget for a Turbo S as garage queen. FL5 is an amazing driver's car, but really at the limit of FWD power levels at OEM power, and not special enough to live the white glove life. If I had a 7 car garage like I eventually aspire, an FL5 would definitely be in it.

Interesting to hear. I have a GT4 and I'm having the same trouble just the opposite side of the coin. I have the "white glove" service car that sits and collects dust. Not really by choice either. I have two kids and a two seater car is not practical for 99% of my driving now. I have to go out of my way to drive it. The consideration of selling it to buy a Type R has been in my mind for 2ish months but I'm concerned with having Seller's and Buyer's remorse after the dust settles. If I knew you were a Porsche nut we may have had a deal even though the GT4 is a different car to the Turbo S.

The handling of the FL5 is astounding, but I find the power to be kind of flat midrange. It’s a quick car for sure, but it doesn’t set my hair on fire like I need it to. My senses are so ruined from flying 4,000hp helicopters and riding super nakeds, so I admittedly have ridiculous expectations going into this. To be honest, my view of the CTR has changed a bit as well since they’ve begun falling into the hands of people who are putting fart cannons and crackle tunes on them.

I like the GT4, but my experience with 911s has given me good vibes with an open cockpit and a nice fast and classy GT feeling that I’m looking for. Regardless, this dream is going to wait until my smallest can at least understand the oiling and cooling systems, so I’ve got some time to save.

I’d further like to add, that unlike the GRC which I hated, I was very impressed with the CTR. It is such an impressive car in so many ways, I really can’t fault any part of its execution. For a FWD car, it was aces.

Funny you mention the GRC because the drivers seem to be polar opposites from the CTR guys as well and not in a good way. Congratulations and good luck on your car adventure!

The day I decided to sell my GRC; I had just left getting a haircut and it was wet from fresh rain, but no longer raining. As I was waiting to leave the parking lot, a 20 something kid with a bad haircut in a riced out Corolla XSE was literally hanging out his driver window doing all sorts of hand signals with his tonque hanging out when he saw the GRC as he drove past. Immediately after that, I pulled out into busy traffic, and the GRC had insane front wheel hop. The AWD decided to not "activate" right away and it sounded like the engine was jackhammering in the engine bay. I seriously thought something was going to be destroyed. Between the fake "performance" of the car, the gross attention it got, how slow it was, and the terrible garbage quality interior... it HAD TO GO.

Driving a clean 997 gets way more glances from people who I'd much prefer their 'ahem' attention.

Any chance you’d share what you let it go for at the dealer for price discovery purposes? Seems like the trajectory is downwards with the rest of the market, but somewhat slowly.
