I don’t plan on buying a k-tuner while my car is under warranty - at least for now.

If I purchased the k-tuner and used the most basic lowest performing tune - really to just adjust drivability - earlier spool, rev hang removal - do you still have to run premium fuel?

You can definitely run a tune on 87. Most people don't because it will reduce power output potential. On the other hand, a good pro tuner can maximize power with 87 if you're willing to pay.

Thanks. I would be mostly interested in improving drivability.

I have a supercharged mustang if I really want to go fast :)

Thanks!

I would likely not want to increase boost (to keep using 87 octane) but would be interested in having the turbo spool faster and many lessen the rev hang somewhat.

What changes does the lowest base tune make?

Thanks.

Looking at the product on your website.

I have a 6 speed. Could I run the stage zero with it?

Stage one looks interesting, could I lower the boost to 15psi but keep everything else the same? You mentioned 16.5 psi above but I didn’t see a stage for that.

Thanks again!!

Yes you have full control on the starter maps to adjust the boost levels for both ECO and other modes as you see fit!

How does stage 1 tune affect eco mode? How does the 16.5 base tune affect eco mode? I love eco mode for getting 48 mpg on my commute and don’t want to mess that up.

My car just past 600 miles today and I did my first full throttle in second gear from about 2500 rpms (eco off, 2018 EX-T 6 speed). There was some definite lag before it really started to pull. I am guessing the stage 1 takes this away? Same with the 16.5 base tune?

How easy is it to switch modes? Can I go back to stock easily? I would likely get the V2 with the 5 inch display as I would like to be able to see boost etc in real time.

Also, can I create a really weak tune for when my daughter may drive the car? Maybe limit boost to even less than stock?

Sorry for all of the question!

ECO still dumbs down the throttle unless you get into it heavily. You will notice a huge difference in drivability and lag especially if you alter the quick adjustments, as that gives you control over those aspects specifically. Most guys who do test back to back get better mileage with the tune, if they stay out of the gas of course.

You have full control to flash to stock any time or lower/raise boost levels as you see fit! The V2 will have the factory tune on it so you can flash factory any time.
