Is there a reason the OE FL5 rear brake pads are 3x the price of 20'+ FK8 ones?

I'm thinking to just throw a set of FK8 pads on the rear next time and compare the backing plates to see manufacturing numbers. I suspect it's the same pad but sourced for the "Japanese" made Type R .....

Autozone PN's are also different between FK8 and FL5.

If the OEM pad backing plates are the same, the compound is different.
