Hello,

I'm looking for some feedback from others that are using the using the Hybrid Racing shifter. After installation shifting feels much crisper, however, I did notice some fore and aft play and I'm wondering if that's normal? Check out the video to see what I'm talking about. Maybe this play is intentional and part of the design, but figure I'd ask. I feel like my Acuity shifter in my 10th gen had virtually no play.

Lastly, I cranked down the pinch bolts that keep the shift rod in place but It's twisting a little. I'm installing a Hybrid competition "one piece" shifter rod/knob combination in a few days and going bootless. I'll see at the that time if I can tighten things up some more to keep the shift rod from twisting.

Looks great! Not sure about the play though.

In general, a small amount of play relieves pressure on the shift forks and reduces internal wear in the transmission. Also the shift forks themselves have play in the dogs, which is magnified by shifter mechanical advantage.
The CTR's stock shifter feels superior to any transverse engine front drive car I've driven. An AP2 S2000 has a significantly better feel, but easier to money shift the narrow pattern.
