Any hondas can be driven for a lot of years, we just want the latest models that's why we buy new hondas.

Sadly (or perhaps fortunately?) I don't fit that description. I'm not paying 40K for a new van when the old one is in great shape and gets us from A to B just fine. Having self driving features would be sweet, but not worth the price tag until upgrading becomes a necessity, not just a want.

To each his own applies. We all have short lifespans to experience the world, some people do that by just getting a new car more often as it gives them pleasure in one form or another. But other people experience the world with different priorities and there's no harm done.
