GM Synchromesh

I remember back in the days the GM synchromesh worked like a charm. It actually helped my 3rd gear grind and helped the gears shift smoothly. Is the AC Delco the replacement fluid for the actual GM Synchromesh?

That is not the fluid that helped.

You need the Synchromesh Friction Modified. P/N is 10953509, at least in Canada.

Use it in my S2000. (And used it on my 6-6- Accord.)

But don't know if that can be used with the LSD...

But I read somewhere if something happens to the transmission and you have other fluids and not the honda that could void warranty claims I don’t remember if it was here or on the 10th gen forum.

Dealership guy here, so I'll chime in. Technically, Honda can void your warranty if you use a different fluid from what they recommend. However, they'd have to prove that the cause of the issue was from using different fluid and rarely is it a case where that happens (i worked for honda for 5+ years and can tell you ive never saw a warranty claim denied as dealerships LOVE warranty work - guaranteed $ from honda, extra tech hours, etc etc). Now if its a situation where youre tuned with aftermarket parts and theres an issue, sure the possibility of a denied claim is high but were talking about fluid here lol

Thanks for that clarification is just that I see many people use the synchromesh but also saw that couple of times. The dealer scratched my wheel and wanted to blame it on me that I take it to a car wash that car was maybe 2 weeks with me when my tire blew up. So I really don’t trust their judgment too much. But thank you for your input now I know it’s wasn’t probably true what I read.
