i just want to reiterate I do like the FL5. It’s great in its own way. Honda has never made a perfect looking vehicle (NSX is damn close though). I’m not a random crazy FK8 owner coming to shit on the 11gen, just a Honda guy throwing out my crappy observations lol.

I never got that vibe from you, no worries! I hope I don't either haha I think people see us FK8 owners as automatically hating the FL5 because we're jealous we don't have the newest thing or something along those lines which is sad. But some people on this forum are super defensive for no reason tbh

The S2000 will be a timeless design that will never grow old IMO. Previous Gen NSX's were super sweet, newest Gen NSX is decent.

I never minded the 10th gen Civic design, I thought it was decent despite many complaints about it.

I was saying Honda has never made a perfect car. Every car has a reason to critique it. But yes I agree the S2K has aged amazingly well.

I think the 90s NSX were about as good as it gets for that era and would be the benchmark.
I’d say the face lifted NSX could be resold today as a new car that’s how well it’s aged. Even though the pop up headlights are way way sexier!

The black trim is the grill though? Many people have body matched the grill for the FK8 and doesn’t have the concave look with overhang on the top and bottom.
Maybe I wasn't clear on my last post. Im not denying that its part of the grill, but you can clearly see that its an additional layer, thats why there are lines and its not fully one piece in a way. Idk if that makes sense.

car could look pretty low slung back before pedestrian safety became a thing.
I've always wondered how being smashed onto the front of the car because it's low, would be worse than punted 50 metres into the air because it's a bit higher / or just run over because it pushes you infront of the car instead of over. Sure, they'll cause different injuries of course, but doesn't seem that much better, just different - yet they made entire car designs change because of it.

Meanwhile, the gen3 Prelude in black, similarly to the way the Gen2 Rx-7's were, with the low flat lines, looks great.

From my understanding in both cases you'd likely be smashed into the front of the car (clips your legs, your head smacks down into the hood). The sheet metal that most car hoods are made from is relatively soft and deformable and smacking a person's head into it could be survivable. The problem is that just millimeters beneath that soft sheet metal is a solid engine block, and that's what was cracking people's heads open. So automakers began designing clearance between the underside of the hood and the top of the engine, leading to "higher hoods and taller noses,"
