Cobb ECU Jailbreaking and Unlocking now available at JST!

We at JST are the first and so far the only Tuner that now offer in-house jailbreaks for the FL5 and DE5 Civic Type R/ Integra Type S platform using Cobb software.

We are located in Central Georgia and we are looking for our first customer car to use the new jailbreak software on.

This would mean NO downtime for an ecu jailbreak/unlock if having to mail off your ecu has been holding you back. The ECU wont even have to be removed from the car to do this.

For the first person that would like to setup an appointment, I can do $150 off of any Tune/ Accessport package, or $200 off of any Accessport/ Dyno tune package on top of being able to have your jailbreak done while you wait.

Update!

Today is a really big day for us here at JST-Performance, and a big day for anyone that is looking to use Cobb software on there FL5 or DE5.

A local ATL customer was nice enough to bring his 2025 FL5 Civic Type R in to be the first customer car that we are Jailbreaking/Unlocking here at our shop in Georgia.

We are the first and so far the only shop that will now offer COBB Tuning Jailbreaks for Civic Type R and Integra Type S ECU's.

If you don't mind driving to our shop in central Georgia, We can do this service for you for FREE assuming you are also buying an Accessport and Custom Tune.

If you are not planning on buying an Accessport or tune from us, or not planning to use an Accessport at all, we can still do this for you for a small fee.

The whole process will only take a half hour to do.

This car arrived with a PRL HVI, and a 27Won Downpipe and Catback. It had a pretty solid baseline considering it was on the stock tune. The final results were great though, With gains of 60 Wheel Horsepower and Torque. We could have made more if the car had an aftermarket intercooler, but either way, this is going to feel like a new car!

Thanks for sharing, Brian. What does a stock FL5 put down on your dyno? Where would this car be if it had an aftermarket intercooler? And one last request: can you overlay the baseline power curves with the tuned curves? I would like a sense of power gained under the curve. Great work - good to see alternatives in the marketplace.

On our Dyno the few that i've ran that were bone stock made 291-295 or so.

I think it likely would have picked up another 10whp or so with an intercooler, it was heat soaked a bit yesterday in the shop.

Here is an overlay of the Stock tune vs the Custom tune. Gains were pretty much 50-80HP/ Ft Lbs of tq throughout the entire rev range.

I The Cobb OTS tunes generally make about 320whp on our dyno on stage 1.

I haven't ran the Cobb OTS Stage 2 Map on our dyno yet, but based on the changes that it has compared to Cobb Stage 1, its maybe 325-330whp or so for reference.

Another FL5 in for an ECU Jailbreak and Custom Tune here JST-Performance!

We've gotten this down to a seamless process already with no ecu removal required, and only 5 minutes to do the entire jailbreak process.

After the ECU jailbreak we married a COBB Tuning Accessport to the car and did just a standard road tune on the car. This customer also opted for our unlimited tuning add-on. With unlimited tuning you can pay a little extra up front, and then get revisions via Email for changes you make to the car later on, without having to pay again.

We do these Jailbreaks for FREE at our shop here for customers who at least buy a Cobb Accessport from us.
