So update from the general manager.

They said that they revised their service and dashcam policies.
The service tech who took the car out for a hoon was disciplined both verbally and in written format.
Service had a meeting in upkeeping policy and standards.
They also offered me a gas card so that's nice.
Pretty happy with the result although I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be staring at my car if I ever needed to go in again.

Gorgeous! What lip is that?. It kind of reminds me of the Varis front lip.
It’s from EPR, which basically copied the Varis style. As much as I love the Varis, just can’t love the look of varis emblem in the middle of lip + lots of factors. ?

Anyone else planning to do a mid pipe delete? If I could find someone who had a lift I would totally have it done. I wanted a full exhaust before, but MRT resonate delete sounds pretty good to me, why spend 3k when 300$ gets the job done.

Btw, anyone find any cool clock display backgrounds for their infotainment, obviously type r related? If you did, plz do share!

That's so frustrating. Did they have a dash cam?
You'd think that the junior techs would've smartened up or that they'd have better control over this.
I hope that they put in a complaint, this is ridiculous.
Seems like they learned a lesson from you.. to d/c camera as soon as possible for them to not get caught. What a shame.

1 star reviews would help imo.
But the last time you guys went too easy on them. They offered you 1 oil free change and they will discipline. Probably didn’t even talk to them or just said don’t get caught next time.

Absolutely infuriating.
Did the owner have eye witness? If the odo changed and he shows proof that there actually is a 4 km difference then that's pretty substantial for just an oil change. The unplugging of the dashcam alone should warrant a complaint. The service staff last time let me know that they unplug the cams while working on the car but the gm assured me that they must include dashcam footage when going for test drives. If he has 0 footage of the techs driving the car then I'd submit a claim asap.

I'm willing to bring them my case too to help the complaint. This can't keep happening to us. I'd contact regional and corporate too. They make us wait 2 years or more for our cars and this is how their dealer network treats us. Unreal.

“Yet”. Lol, will try to look for another dealership to cater my PPF warranty.

Hopefully, you guys can teach them a good lesson this time!

Update:

Despite what the GM wrote here, it either seems like the service manager didn't get the memo or this entire statement is hot air. He told the owner that he permitted allowing the techs to road test vehicles and unplug dashcams, despite agreeing with me that this was wholey against protocol and breached our trust.

NEVER service your vehicle here while this guy is in charge.
