My guess was 181 + 181 + 278 for each yearmy guess would have been 696 for some reason.
Wow, dedication. I hope you get yours someday to reward your efforts. I gave up last week as it doesn't look like the market condition for this specific car will get any better.Does anyone want to venture a guess at how the used market will be for the FL5 in Canada going forward? I know ~29xx FK8s were brought here and examples with moderate KM sell for at or more than new.
I found a brand new CW but marked up $9K. They are doing the old register in employees relatives name so its "used" trick. Its $65K, take it or leave it. 7km and still has the plastics and rail dust on it.
I can stomach a markup, provided I "make it up on the back end" ie If I can sell this thing for $55K, 4 years from now, I can stomach the markup and interest.
At this point I dont see another way to get a CW. Ive spoke with several dealers that have SGP and RR and even they all want mid 60s or low 70s. Newmarket Honda is asking $70400 for their SGP including $3000 for the corrosion module/interior protect and $1500 for dash cam...
Ive called 50 dealers across the country. Called every dealer in eastern Canada twice.
Starting to get tired of it now.
80k on the road for a new fwd is asisine in my eyes... 60k was pushing it but holy F man.Borderline robbery. But probably the only one in Vancouver I can get right now.

Disappointing but not surprising. Is Carter Honda the same place as the other dealership that gave you the pricing sheet? Tried reaching out them again to see if there's wiggle room?Update for some Vancouver folks.
Carter Honda DOES have their CW FL5 as available, but the conditions are pretty bad. They require a 12k trade in and a 3k care package which runs to about 78-80k OTD. Tried saying I didnt have a car to trade in and if we can switch to dealer add-ons, but they got back later in the day to me saying no. Also that I can buy one of their used cars and use that as a trade in. Called back and asked if they can lower the 12k trade in a bit and it was non negotiable.
They tried pressuring me a bit and said they are talking with a few other folks, which Im not sure if its true or not. However the phone was a bit hard to reach and went to voice mail a few times throughout the day.
Pricing is brutal. I don't think it's going to be any better. I'm guessing there won't be a 12th gen Type R and they're probably banking on that to a degree, which is why they're not budging on price. It's great that we got additional units but dealerships are just trying to screw us all over, adding all those overpriced add-ons.Does anyone want to venture a guess at how the used market will be for the FL5 in Canada going forward? Its a different dealership. Atleast Im getting addons with the one Im working with; Carter Honda is a straight up 12k markup with nothingDisappointing but not surprising. Gotcha, dealerships are the worst. Its a different dealership. Atleast Im getting addons with the one Im working with; Carter Honda is a straight up 12k markup with nothing
It was also hilarious as the sales tried to play off the trade in as a way to do "tax savings".
The thrill of getting a new car....Why not used market, theirs a few reasonably priced used units with low kms being sold privately?
