Who did not brake in Engine on your New Civic? Is it a Myth on Modern Cars or Helpful to do it?

Synthetic oils and run in at the factory have reduced the need in most new cars. That said, many brands still suggest a 1000km/600 mile break in just to be safe. Check your owners manual for any break in procedures depending on your engine type.

Engine break in? That's an argument, and often is here. Brake pad and clutch face break in? That you absolutely have to do.

I never brakein the engine
I just avoid to Accelarate till the Red Line
I dont know if thats the way you do it
I havent had problmes with 18 hatchback
What can possibbly happen if you do not brake in?

Yes, the owner's manual says not to use the cruise control, and keep varying the speed for the first 800 miles. I just did a lot of City driving for the first 800 miles. By then everything should be happy.
