Blackhawk Japan import tax ?

Hi everyone, stupid question here. So I ordered lugnuts from Blackhawk Japan, my question is do I need to pay for import taxes and if yes how do I go about it ? Thanks in advance. By the way I’m in California.

Depending on the courier they'll reach out to you for payment before/after delivery, based on personal experience DHL/UPS request payment before delivering. FedEx on the other hand, based on my experience will deliver first and then reach out for payment. Japan has a 15% rate, but car parts require another 25% so be prepared in case it's more than originally thought.

Unfortunately, unscrupulous importers took advantage of the (under) $800 exemption for vehicle part import invoices. I've read everything is now subject to tariffs, regardless of price.
