Given the pitchy nature of FWD cars, my first modification is nearly always engine mounts. On my FA5 I used window weld in the torque mounts to really great effect. I purchased Hasport mounts which rattled the car so badly, even at 62A, and the switch to a good 3M window-weld application was really just about perfect for NVH and motor motion control.

On my GR Corolla I used Powerflex inserts, which seemed to work well(ish) but it still had a bit more slop that I wanted. I'm intrigued by the PRL HPDE torque mount for the FL5, but curious to see if anyone has input on the matter.

It's absolutely mind boggling that there at 100x threads about this intake or that exhaust, and almost zero dialogue about things that actually make the car drive better. In my experience/opinion, the power mods come after dialing in the chassis/brakes/suspension.

In my journal I reviewed one. I went with the hasport rear motor mount. It really made an improvement on wheelhop. Also car feels more connected and direct. There is some mild NVH especially with the a/c on but it does not bother me.

Cool thanks. I'm going to give the PRL a shot.

Linked your journal for future reference...

I think the PRL will have a bit less NVH, it just depends on what you can tolerate. I don’t mind vibrations if it gets rid of wheelhop completely. So far so good, I have not taken the car to the drag strip yet to see if its really resolved on a sticky surface. On the street and on track duty it has performed flawlessly and 0 wheel hop so far. Just smooth spinning with good traction.

Perfect, that's exactly the feedback I'm looking for. I'd rather start softer and dial it up if I feel I can tolerate increased NVH. After having driven AMG cars, I'm always searching for the butter smooth power delivery experience. My days of CRX's with aluminum collar motor mounts are behind me.
