The last month I've seen the Android Auto performance degrade. Slower to boot up as I drive off and lately sometimes when I start the car it acts as if it's connected, but just shows a black screen forever and doesn't play the audio. The phone in those scenarios doesn't show any android auto activity.
I kinda suspect my phone is probably the issue but the fact that the car still shows that android auto is connected despite the phone not being connected. I've done the factory reset once and that kinda seemed to work but then it got bad again pretty quickly. I'm now trying to clear storage and cache in android auto, maybe reset the factory settings once more.
If anyone else has experience with this or has a setup that's been solid for a long time, like 8+ months, I'd love to know. My phone is a nokia 5.4 on the latest software.
