Huge relief, makes the decision to go with GRC so much easier. The max markup I'd consider on CTR given this MSRP is $1k, which simply ain't happening
I called over 15 dealers they would not budge below $10k ?

Let's not try to fight over economics! The pricing is more than expected, but like someone else mentioned, this may help our chances to get one.

I was hoping for the late 30k's to help finance after a significant down payment. I have to say though, comparing the prices everywhere won't help too much. It's not justifiable. It's just business. In my case however, I had to save because ADM here is at the lowest probably 20k.

When I started working here as an engineer I was super happy with my new purchasing power until I realized how they price cars here. I went to a Toyota dealership to talk about a Supra and the price tag was 106k. Then Honda for a new SI which is at 42k. So I hope they don't mark this up too bad. But seeing as it's a Type R, I'm expecting it at 60k which is my cap not for financial reasons but just off of principle.

Inflation is a crazy thing for non-essential things. We have to be grateful we can afford this.

People are just venting their frustrations — not really a conversation to be had about economics here.

I appreciate your level-headedness!

Like I said before guys, need to just step back and be patient. Let this hype die off and you will get MSRP or at least very close to it. I know it sucks not having one first, but you'll be paying way too much money to be the first cool kid on the block.

I think MSRP is going by to be difficult even if you wait. Didn’t the FK8 go for over MSRP before COVID/chip shortage? I recall the 1997 Integra Type R having a markup as well.

Shit news eh. How about a used one? I def wouldn't be selling my type r, or at least def not to the dealer to make more money off me.

Anyone selling used will be looking to make a profit on their MSRP + ADM. Used will be > than purchase price 100000%
