I take it $5k over MSRP is decent? How did it work with the 10th gen CTR, was it crazy markups at first before release then did it go down?
This is a wayyy different market than 2017-2021. I'm assuming supply will still be brutally short through 2024.
It's hard to compare apples to apples. At my store for example we had a 2019 Civic Type R in Black that was on our lot from October 2019 till April 2020 and we ended up selling it $500 under MSRP to just move on... That would never ever happen again and it's a reminder of where we are now. MSRP is a phenomenal deal and $5k over is fair. Anything over that is really high and I wouldn't reward dealer behavior with a sale for $20k. I don't care how rich you are.

Yeah when you start talking $60k, you start moving into a different class of cars there. Just insane lol

I'd search out of state brother
Texas sucks
More like, everywhere sucks. All the feel good stories you hear are probably either from someone with a hookup/work for a dealer, or they’re over exaggerating. To that extent, I want a Type R, don’t know that I want to travel 1,000 miles to get one, and I’ve probably screw that away already anyway.

maybe, maybe not. Market is different. Salaries hasn't kept up with inflation yet the average auto loans are over 730bux. There will be a tidalwave of defaults coming unlike the 2008 crisis.

My brother lives in NJ has been going crazy trying to find a TRD Pro Tundra at MSRP. I found him one here in NY but they won't sell to out of state buyers. I wonder if some Honda dealers are doing something similar.

That's exactly what I've been told every time I call a dealer outside of Texas.

Despite the doom and gloom posts, Honda build slots and supply chain is still amongst the best in the world.

The new CRV has a 9 month lead time in the UK, the Audi Q4 e-tron is over 18 months. The 11th gen civic launches in the UK in a couple of weeks and they expect to have a lot on the ground of the regular model.

What are the lead times on Audi's and BMWs like in the states?

Lots are pretty bare where I’m at. Audi seems hardest hit then bmw. Mercedes has a decent amount though.

I honestly think the Integra base looks better than the Civic base. Could end up being a better looking car.
Agree 100%. The Integra imo as a base looks much better than the civic hatch. Which makes me excited to see what comes out for the S. I really hope the acura S yellow for their other Type S models will be available. I prefer it to thr R's Phoenix yellow. But thar could just be me haha.
