Probably not likely, and it also depends on how large the first "batch" is. There are 1,000 Honda dealerships in the U.S., but higher volume dealerships will likely get more than one Type R, while some lower volume dealers will likely get zero.
From what I’ve seen from other groups, the dealership volume won’t matter. I’m hearing sept 1st is when dealerships can “request” orders and then it’ll be a lotto system. But then again, this is all speculation.

What do you think the likely hood is that every dealer in United States receives at least one type R on the first batch?
I don't know how you define first batch but I think every dealership will receive one.

Total speculation.

What other groups? Why September first?

That doesn't sound very Honda like tbh. However these are new days and times.

There’s a few FL5 Facebook groups I’m apart of. That’s how I heard about the projected price of $40k since someone that lived in Japan stated he did his contract for 5400000 yen. Then that YouTube video came out about the price and 4000 units. A lot of weird cross talk and I’m over it. I’m ready to wake up one day to see the price specs drop and my dealer to tell me he’s got a VIN or not. lol

I remember here in Upstate, NY when the first 2017 was released almost every Honda dealership got 1, even the small ones. But with current situation it's hard to say.

I do not see how any “lotto” system will fly in the US. I did see that Japanese video talking about lottos in Japan, but no way that’s a thing here. All dealers are independent and can do whatever they want…

lotto won't work in US because dealers are independent, manufactures have no say how they sell the cars.

This coming Monday...

Just to clarify... I am in no way shape or form saying that the Type R will be a part of that. Just that this is the first time that '23 Honda Civics will be there for order by dealers.
Update: No '23 Honda Civics this allocation

I have a feeling it will be like others have said, sometime in the beginning of September.

And no, I have no proof to backup that claim. It is all based on hopes and dreams.

I can see production of hatches into early October. So in theory you won't see '23 hatch at best until mid to late October.

That doesn't mean the Type R has to follow that. Especially if produced in Japan (not in Indiana).

You mean, hypothetically, we wouldn’t have dealers see their allotted VINs until October?
