this rep finally came in and idk if honda trained these guys not to say a word or not...but he gave me zero info only said later this year.

man what a big help ?
At this point, my best guess is that we're not getting pricing until a week before embargo date. Kind of like the GRC. Hoping I'm wrong.

Has anyone been offered a VIN yet? I just got told by a dealership that they have a VIN ready and the car's coming in January at their place. Might be bs but I don't want to simply write it off as one yet, so if anyone can confirm that they've received a VIN anywhere in the US that might help.
Whats the VIN#?

So I have a 2023 Civic SI allocated to me that I heard about last month. Called the guy yesterday to get some additional information and since the new allocation for October came out wanted to touch base.

He does not have any pricing on the SI yet but expects to have more information next week. He said Honda typically moves things through / provides more information after a new allocation comes through, said to call him next Wednesday and he should have more info on the delivery date and the MSRP of the SI.

Also mentioned he MIGHT hear something by next week on the Type R, but as of right now there wasn't anything in his system. I'll keep everyone updated.

So I guess for reference if we are looking at the 2020 SI with an MSRP 25,900 and the 2020 type R with a msrp of 37,950 maybe we can assume the 2023 Type R will be 33% higher than the 2023 Civic SI? Many predicting the 2023 SI to be around 29,500, which would put the type R around 43.5k

Just called Westwood Honda, the guy that use to help me (wes) is no longer there, a manager called Jason told me there is no update from Honda, and that they will get 7 over the next 3 years..
and that they cant order anything yet.
hopefully this helps.

Thank you @ctrc2022 for the update. I literally just got a response from a dealer in BC and no info yet. In AB dealer, was informed that they will only get 2 Type Rs in a span of next year till early 2024.

tbh i was surprised to hear 7 for westwood honda. not sure if I can take their word for it.. although I had seen them move quite a few CTRs for FK8, 7 seems a lot for a burb dealer lol

He will have pricing today.

Honda released Civic sedan pricing for '23 today.

Increase of about 700 to 800 from the previous model year.
