I'll see what I can find out tomorrow.

Fwiw, Monday, APEX opens up. So... dealer order day. Sometimes it comes with info from reps before hand. Which is why some Honda emoyees have fresh info.. or well that is possibly why.
Well, then here’s to hoping Monday brings us some good news for a change. Unless it’s random, gotta believe it’s either this one or November.

If arriving November, you’d think dealers would HAVE to get info by Monday….

God it must be nice to live somewhere that dealerships take deposits, and to have been first to put one down.

FWIW my friend at the local Honda dealer where I have my deposit mentioned the FL5 is in the parts catalog. Not sure exactly what that means for ETA but it’s something
How fast would the parts from the catalog be? Would that stuff be a 6 month wait to get?

Not necessarily, we usually do when the car is about to be built or is just assigned a vin.

The cars seem to already be built, which have vins and the cars are already here…

I have a strange feeling we will only know a few days before they arrive that they are on their way to the dealers and dealers will get emails saying hey you have a type r coming on the way

When I got my ND2 this was the case. Dealer found out like a day or two before they were getting one.

At this point, just feels like that’s what’s going to happen. Everyone without a deposit somewhere is going to have to be lucky or have great timing, seeing as we will all probably find out, at the last minute. Then have to haul ass to the dealer and hope someone else didn’t beat you there. Fun times ahead.

Parts are typically overnight.

Demand can cause a wait however. I'm excited to talk to parts tomorrow. If I can order parts then I just may do that.

I might be a broken record by now, but anyone who doesn't have a deal already in place (likely with ADM) probably won't get one in the initial allocation. I made my deal back in July with ADM in place knowing that this was my only way to guarantee I get one. The FL5 is significantly better than the FK8 for any Honda fanboy so I don't see how this was a bad decision.

There is still a good chance my dealer gets a color I don't want or decides to change our deal but at this point I'm willing to take it or leave it. I don't NEED a CTR but I would certainly like one. Delivery in November isn't ideal and will factor into my ability to back out. Interest rates have also changed dramatically since our deal was made...

You do understand there are entire markets that have dealerships that do not do deposits, right? So you’re telling me the entire state of Texas won’t be getting any Type Rs?

I think we have all heard enough of all the people that already have 6 deposits and are first in line at all of them, congrats. ?

Well then let me just tell you that I’m first in line at my dealership and I have zero confidence I’m getting one. dose that make you feel any better??
