Indeed - look at the folks whom bought base C8 Corvettes for massive markups, and now that the Z06 is available and ZR-1 is coming - nobody will want the base models and owners stuck with their massive markups they paid. Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a similar situation as well, but those cars are king.
