Hi everyone,
I'm selling two sets of floor mats for the FL5 Civic Type R:
1. FL5 OEM Red Floor Mats – $300
Used for only 2 days before switching to aftermarket all-season mats
Excellent condition, virtually like new
2. Civic All-Season High Wall Floor Mats – $100
Brand new and never used...
Crazy market. It wasn’t just Carmax. I had similar offers from multiple local dealers. Irvine Acura made me an offer for $46.5k a few months ago. That was the best offer I’ve had. Mine is a pretty low mileage car though (8500 miles when sold).
I loved them. I was actually going to sell the car to get an EV (Ioniq5N). I'm still debating whether to make my R a dedicated track car or sell it to get an EV.
Selling a set of Apex ML-10RT wheels in near brand new condition.
Mileage: Only ~2,000 miles of use
Condition: No damages, bends, or imperfections. Only minor marks from mounting/unmounting tires (normal with use). Center caps included. In original packaging.
Location: Orange County (Irvine)...
Took these pictures a while ago. Minority here but though I would share to show how Euro style wheels look on FL5 for those who are interested in going this route. Well, since BBS is Japanese-owned now, can we call it JDM style?? haha
Is there anyone running this set up?
Is it too loud or does it drone? My car is a daily driver and a family car. I take my wife and 2 years old girl out for a drive once or twice a week. Would it be too much for them?
I can't decide if I should get this or a full exhaust system. If this sounds...
Tried a brand new calibrated torque wrench. No difference. I guess I just have to conclude that the nuts are somehow defective unless someone proves that the torque spec I've been using is wrong.
I just checked and didn't see anything obvious. The paint or anodized layer of the nut is scratched off where it meets the tapered hole pretty evenly. So, I assume it's making a full contact with the wheel.
This is exactly what I'm thinking right now. If it turns out that my torque wrench is still good, I'm going to get rid of these nuts and get steel ones.
This is what I found online. No mention of any lubrication.

Even that thread shows conflicting information (103 ft-lb vs. 85 ft-lb)...
I'm going to re-torque all using a brand new torque wrench today...
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I confirmed the lug seat (60 deg conical).
I bought the torque wrench a few years ago and have used it probably less than 15 times. I always keep it unloaded when not in use. Maybe I can get another one and check.
