  1. MBRP FL5 Valved Exhaust now available for FL5 Civic Type R!

Thank you! This is def on my list. We're in the process of buying a new house, so I need to be fiscally responsible...but once we close. All bets are off!
  2. MBRP FL5 Valved Exhaust now available for FL5 Civic Type R!

Maybe I'm missing something... but are the tips all 4.5" outlet? From the pics they appear to be the same outlet, but different inlets. For sure I see 3"in/4.5"o in stainless: https://mbrpexhauststore.com/t304-stainless-steel-tip-3-id-4-5-od-out-6-13-length-angle-cut-single-wall/ But I only...
  3. MBRP FL5 Valved Exhaust now available for FL5 Civic Type R!

@RUNN1N came back here for the same clarification. From the pics, the L&R tip inlets appear to be a different diameter than the center.
  4. MBRP FL5 Valved Exhaust now available for FL5 Civic Type R!

@Unity Performance not wild about either tip option. I’d prefer just simple polished. Would either of MBRPs std polished tips work? On their site they have some polished options. It’s unclear from the pics what the left and right tip inlet size is. The center inlet looks to be 3”.
  5. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

@nvtive_b couldn't agree more. The ITS ADS is fantastic - much more compliant in real world driving. I just installed mine (only took 5 min). Happy to report in comfort it is far more compliant on the streets of our nation's capital. Sport is firm and R+ is firmer still - but less covered...
  6. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

My guess this is a matter of preference. I can say on 18s with my stock FL5 ADS is still pretty harsh in most conditions (but especially in day-to-day city driving) - even in comfort. I never touch the other modes. DC city streets aren't the best. In R+ on the original 19s it was like riding in...
  7. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

I guess jumping the line has advantages...unclear though if using that VIN really expedited anything.
  8. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Just got word that the ADS unit I ordered back in November from MyAcuraParts arrived at their facility and will be shipping out to me shortly. Will be curious to see how the suspension feels with it added. Ride was noticeably improved when I went to 265/35 18s (Continental ExtremeContact...
  9. Weak hatch struts

The info from my struts/stays: STABILUS 036138 0700N 262/22 A49 So it would seem they should be sufficient as 700N = ~157lb.
  10. Weak hatch struts

I guess it's just because the FL5 is a little hefty - ain't a small hatch. My life is not irreparably damaged by having to give it a helping hand. I was just curious if this was just me. Guess not.
  11. Weak hatch struts

Glad I'm not the only one. I wonder if there are more powerful struts available - normally these things don't break the bank. Assuming that's true, I'd prob just spend the money then go the dealer warranty hassle route... Seems to me the poor lift performance is more noticeable now that the...
  12. Weak hatch struts

Has anyone noticed their hatch struts being too weak to lift the hatch? Seems to be the worst when it’s cold out. Sometimes I even need to give them a helping hand. Can’t imagine the struts are any different than from non Type Rs. The wing’s weight couldn’t be making a difference right? Or maybe...
  13. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Placed an order with MyAcuraParts on Saturday. They emailed me same day saying the ADS module was on backorder and if I provided my VIN (presumably an ITS VIN) I could get on the “critical” backorder list. I told them I was fine waiting my turn. Seems to be the name of the game for anything FL5...
  14. Thoughts on the Milltek vs AWE exhaust ??

While I don't have the AWE on my CTR, I've had their exhausts on previous cars - most recently my old '19 GTI. I loved the sound, build quality and fitment. The only reason I am not considering the AWE for my CTR is the fact they nixed the valve. The Miltek is on my list - reviews have been good...
  15. Eventuri intake spotted

Bet it will be eye-wateringly expensive. Normally not a fan of the CF look, but I could see this growing on me.
  16. Considering shifter upgrades, Acuity and PRL the only options for bushing kits?

While I don't have Hybrid Racing shifter bushings in my CTR, I do have them in my Prelude SH. Quality is top notch and made a great improvement. Really like their stuff. Personally, I like the feel of the CTR's shifter as is - wonder how much bushings would enhance? Already feels nice and...
  17. Front Resonator Delete

@DSAINJERSEY no lights. No problems. Just a bit more sound. I used the regular clamps provided - def nothing fancy as a vband. W/r/t the ITS, it has a different tune coupled with the slightly different exhaust.
  18. PRL Motorsports 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5 High Volume Intake System Product Development

We’ll see. I think we have different interpretations of OE+… and that’s ok! If the box is embossed with the PRL logo I think that’s fine. The overall design of their intake looks more OE than others. Folks should mod their cars to their taste and goals. I could always slap a bright red AEM...
  19. PRL Motorsports 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5 High Volume Intake System Product Development

Yeah, their comms aren't great. I do appreciate the need / desire to move deliberately rather than simply rushing something to market. I can only speak for myself, but what really appeals to me about the PRL intake, and why I am anxious to buy one, is that it looks OE +. That's my style. I don't...
  20. PRL Motorsports 2023+ Honda Civic Type-R FL5 High Volume Intake System Product Development

I think those are the numbers the vast majority of us will find informative. If I was closer, they could have my car. Haha.
