Not looking to start a oiled v. dryflow debate, but for those interested I have been searching for a dryflow filter option for this intake and finally found a workable option.
The problem is the narrow opening on the intake box, the narrowest green and aem 4 inch filters just won't fit.

Mikstore has come out with a type r style grill compatible with 2025s. It looks like it will open up some airflow for those of us with aftermarket intercoolers:

Update. A few days back and forth with mikstore was very unhelpful. They would not confirm or deny if any tool capable of programming a smart fob could also program a smart card. All they did was send me a very blurry picture of whatever tool they use.
The good news is that the Launch people...
Had a bit of a revelation today. I've had an annoying rattle from the area of my drivers door for several months. Today I finally broke down and took the panel off to try to find the source. After much searching, i finally figured out the door harness connector to the exterior door handle...
After taking forever to collect the parts and then find time for the install, I finally got it done this past weekend. I ended up using only 3 items from the mikstore kit:
1. The splitter
2. The thru console duct
3. The charger and harness
Everything else I got from JDM Yamato, including the...
Update: mikstore says the smart card is compatible with my US 25 si. I've now asked whether any tool that can program a standard fobs can also program a smart card key, or does the smart card require a special tool. Awaiting an answer.
Google the Launch Creader elite 2.0. I found some videos that claim it can program keys, and it is surprisingly reasonably priced on Amazon. However, I can find nothing on the Amazon site that confirms it programs key fob and further even if it can handle standard fobs, can it handle the smart...
I hope you don't live in the middle of nowhere, because you are probably going to need to take it to a 3rd and maybe even a 4th dealer.
It never ceases to amaze me how dealerships can employ people who have no idea how cars work.
Personally I would bite the bullet and get the mikstore kit. Probably not that much more expensive than sourcing everything individually, but a far easier install and power folding mirrors to boot.
Question for those who have completed this project. Did you use the 2 piece or one piece duct from the front console to the rear? Of the individuals on this thread who have ordered JDM parts instead of or to supplement the mikstore kit it seems one went with the two piece duct and one with the...
I recently ordered OEM touch up paint for my car. The paint code on my window jam is N912P. The paint stick I received was labeled Urban Gray and the code on the bottle was N912PAH-A1. I figured this was fine. Much to my surprise, after application, the dried paint was noticably darker than...
I did this install yesterday on my 25 si. A few points:
1. I ordered my kit from mikstore. The console insert they sent was not 100% compatible with my car trim, but I was able to trim a couple of extraneous plastic tabs and made it work. As a result, there is a small gap in the very front...
