  1. Downpipe Options

You can't modify your car in California. I work for CARB and have recorded your IP address. I will be sending 10 illegal immigrants take temporary residence at your home, and you will be fined an additional $10,000 for your thought crime.
  2. Official Wheel Fitment Thread for 11th Gen FL5 Civic Type R

These look very good. I am not a fan of the protruding wheel look that 45mm and less give. For me it's somewhere between 50 and 60mm offset. I wish the MF10 came with 50-52mm. MITA has a knockoff MF10 in that range, does anyone have experience with MITA wheels?
  3. Hondata FL5 FlashPro released

Is the FL5 Hondata unit supporting boost by gear yet? I had an etune on my FA5 and it was outstanding. It had lots of nice hidden options, and I'm looking forward to tuning my FL5... once it arrives, still in transit.
  4. Hondata FL5 FlashPro released

This exactly. I've always found that a ~25% bump in power is really the most fun I get out of modifying cars. The increased demands of things that need to be exchanged/upgraded/repaired when you go too far really starts making a dent on the nature of the car, and it gets to the point where you...
  5. UPDATE: HEL Oil Cooler USDM & JDM Now Available!

The real solution here is to engineer a hardline set that securely fastens and routes piping free from interference. I have seen a few engine fires from oil coolers, and I'm very hesitant to use anything that isn't an OEM style fit. HKS makes this kit for the GR Yaris... something like this...
  6. Any feedback on engine torque mounts?

Perfect, that's exactly the feedback I'm looking for. I'd rather start softer and dial it up if I feel I can tolerate increased NVH. After having driven AMG cars, I'm always searching for the butter smooth power delivery experience. My days of CRX's with aluminum collar motor mounts are behind me.
  7. Any feedback on engine torque mounts?

Cool thanks. I'm going to give the PRL a shot. Linked your journal for future reference... Jester’s FL5 build journal. | Page 8 | CivicXI - 11th Gen Civic Type R (FL5), Si Forum, News, Owners, Discussions
  8. Any feedback on engine torque mounts?

Given the pitchy nature of FWD cars, my first modification is nearly always engine mounts. On my FA5 I used window weld in the torque mounts to really great effect. I purchased Hasport mounts which rattled the car so badly, even at 62A, and the switch to a good 3M window-weld application was...
  9. Unwanted attention

It's one of the major reasons why I sold my GR Corolla. Aside from hating the cheapness of the whole car, I regularly had teenagers running after me in parking lots, or people in absolute hoopties hanging out of their windows oggling.
