  1. DIY: FL5 Lowering Spring Install for Civic Type R [Step By Step]

I followed this video and couldn’t get The movement like the OP did. I did end up getting it out, but it was a fight on both sides. I even backed off the axle nuts so I didn’t accidentally pull the joint out.

My workplace has a gravel parking loft, soit never comes in with me. It seems like every weekend this summer has been rain. It’s been a grocery getter for the most part, but I’ve never had so much fun doing groceries before.

I think a good chunk of those people got enticed of the unexpected financial gain. Tbh, I’ve been tempted to let mine go with the current market strictly for the financial gain, but can’t bring myself to do it. I love the car too much, and I know I will likely never be able to attain one again.

Thats pretty awesome! You could have a potential market to fine tune things. Keep us posted.. ?
  7. Spoon Springs vs Eibach?

I don’t have any noises. I preloaded the suspension while on the hoist and then torqued all bolts. I do remember Honda specifically noting that with any 2022 Civic and up, you must preload the suspension before tightening any fasteners. Try that and hope it eliminates the noise.
  8. Spoon Springs vs Eibach?

These are FL5 specific springs. I don’t have any additional photos as it was recently lowered. I will snap a few in the next couple of days, and send them your way. iPhone photos, just my wife’s expensive habit of feeding the grass a lot of water.

Why do you think Honda Canada doesn’t want to sell more cars? It’s a business. They want more to profit from the car, financing, warranty, etc.
  13. Recall: 2023 Civic Type R (FL5) Driver's Seat Cushion Frame Stop Sale (TSB Service Bulletin 23-030)

That’s where I’m at. I’ve seen a few pics of seat frame replaced due to the squeak (not for the recall), and the seat covers were loose and crinkling, and one with dirty hands all over the seat.
  14. Swift-R Spring Installed on FL5

After the springs have settled, do you find your FL5 lowered evenly from front to back? I find most FK8 springs have the rear a touch lower.

Same. I was out grocery shopping with mine yesterday.
  16. I HOPE HONDA HEARS THIS ABOUT FL5 PRICING!

Are you upset used FK8’s sell for over their original MSRP? Stop venting about FL5 markups when literally every car is overpriced at the moment. This shit is getting old.

Thank you very much!!! Two days from its arrival at the dealership. Mainly due to paperwork. Currently it has 140kms on it, and has been sitting since November 12th. Brine was being applied to the highways and I won’t drive this R through the winter. I smiled every second I drove it, and...
