  3. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

Unless you're doing reverse stagger for track purposes, this isnt an optimal idea especially for street cars. You cant rotate them front to back and if you have directional tires not even side to side unless you flip the tires. Easy solution (both for track and street), adjust fitment with...

  7. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

Oh yes definitely. I'm just talking about it's doing the same thing; it may not have the range, but its still adjusting the same thing. Camber plates on these cars have about 3.5-4⁰ of adjustment (the lower end if you arent using the strut mount holes in conjunction).
  8. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

Its effectively doing the same thing. Although most camber plates have caster adjustability, but if you ignore that, moving the strut via top mount slots or camber plates for camber adjustment, its the same functionality for all intents and purposes.
  9. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

The struts pushed fully in? Pull the strut back out and you may get closer to -3.5⁰ on the the most negative setting on the EVS LBJ. The last set of EVS I installed on a customer car on the middle setting got -2.7⁰ with strut pins pulled and fine tuning adjusted at the strut mount.
  10. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

Both actually. Sakebomb garage and whiteline LBJs. Pulled pins as well to adjust at strut. I'm a vendor so happy to get you a quote if you'd like. Also, if you're in the DFW area, I run a shop that does service and installs (check out my previous posts if curious).
  11. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

I always recommend that to my customers. Not because you necessarily need additional camber (especially if you're not too low), but to get the most accurate side-to-side (cross camber and cross toe) alignment possible. Stock arms don't have any fine tune adjustment, so one side might be off up...
  12. God Spec info 18x10 +40 (pictures, alignment specs, tire info)

I'm on Ohlins with shorter swift springs up front. About a 2" drop. -3⁰ front and -2.5⁰ rear.
  13. Battery registration after replacement?

Its not really a precaution, rather a workaround to CYA because as I mentioned about the resetting of the voltage monitor through HDS or similar diagnostic tool, AutoZone wouldnt have or be using (nor would I expect them to)...just in case the particular car needs it reset. I have not needed to...
  14. Battery registration after replacement?

This is true. The FSM and Alldata has procedures to reset the voltage monitor in the PGM-FI through HDS (or equivalent diagnostics tool), if needed. Its not typically necessary though.
  15. INFO ON 18X10.5 47 FOR TRACK ***plz show pics if you have them***

This is a customers car, I dont know if he tracks or not. 10.5 +47 is the same outer position as 10 +40. You dont have enough camber with the stock struts pushed in. You need LBJ or camber plates. Also if you track it, -1.8⁰ (ish) of camber from stock struts is going to destroy your outer half...
  16. Is tire safe to use with the tread cut?

No, not safe. That is a full replace. Esepcially if you say its deep basically to the belts. Personally, coming from someone with a pretty high tolerance for "sending it" (I've tracked with tires that were plugged and patched) still say replace it And as a shop owner to a customer - replace it.
  17. INFO ON 18X10.5 47 FOR TRACK ***plz show pics if you have them***

You'll need to add some camber for sure. This is a car we added EVS ball joints, Eibach pro-kit for suspension mods. Customer has Superspeed 18x10.5 +47 with 275/35/18 Continental DWS -2.7⁰ front camber, -2.1⁰ rear
  18. What did you do to your FL5 today?

The CSL + EXO coatings are hobbyist friendly. The CS requires you to take their class and get "certified" for it and only for businesses.
  19. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Gyeon has great coatings. Personally, we use Gtechniq.
