  1. Are there any Type R dyno results showing power output over different grades of gasoline?

Modern ecu's will run on 87, it will just pull timing. The gas cap says 91, so I'd think power numbers are based on 91. 93 will give more headroom, preserve timing when IAT's are high. I'd reckon 93 vs 91 on a stock tune are pretty close, and probably not statistically different.
  2. How Does Driving Experience Compare?

The "higher end" cars will have more power but not necessarily be a better drive, or more fun. I sold my 2023 Amg Cla 45 for my 2024 FL5 and am very happy with it. The 45 was a rocket and the awd vectoring was pretty neat, but all the tech removes some of the rawness. The FL5 is something very...
  3. How long does it take to get your car title once you pay the loan off?

I bought my car in Ohio and I'm waiting for the title. I feel the pain, I'll plead stupid if I catch some heat but I haven't had any problems
  4. First FL5 oil change mileage?

Here is my stance on break in oil changes. Hard break in along with early changes = happy engine in my own experience.
  5. FL5 Motor oil Brand and Grade

Never said it was certified, said it exceeds Api, which it definitely does.
  6. FL5 Motor oil Brand and Grade

I'm a fan of amsoil and the SS definitely exceeds the specs required. I'm also a liqui moly fan and run that between routine service visits. Keep up your service visits and run what you want in the mean time.
  7. Any CW FL5 CTR LEADS

Ohio had mine, no markup but did come tinted and front clear bra
  8. Catastrophic Engine Failure

A dealer would have Honda reimburse them for an R to literally give away, versus honda sending out a 6k long block and a couple hours of labor.... blown engines aren't this mystical creature or something new.
  9. Can't Get A test Drive - Phoenix

Picked my 24' FL5 last Friday with 2 miles on it. I asked the sales manager if they allowed test drives on the R, he said not a chance, someone will buy it either way.
  10. Catastrophic Engine Failure

A long block K20C1 is selling for around 6k. Assuming you paid 46k+-, the engine is worth around 7% of the car. Throwing it out and asking for a new one just isn't going to happen. Lemon laws etc, could entitle you to a new one, but you aren't going to get a new one without leg work and a...
  11. Catastrophic Engine Failure

I really hate to say it but asking for a new vehicle because of an engine failure is just not within reason. There is a power train warranty for a reason, and that is to replace the powertrain. An engine failure is extremely rare, but somebody will inevitably have one. They will drop a new crate...
  12. Post your FL5 Civic Type R delivery pics! 🙌 📸

Finally picked up an FL5! I come from a long line in the JDM world including a 2015 Sti, 370z Nismo, and traded my M139 Amg Cla 45 in for the Type R. Car was fresh at the dealer and just happened to call before they posted on their website, no mark up but did come with a clear bra which I would...
