  1. Aftermarket tire experience

Just to be clear, you're comparing the Michelin PS4S and Continental DWS06+ in the FL5 factory 265/30 R19 size? I ask because downsizing to 18" will have inherent performance disadvantages, regardless of tire model. I confess I don't understand what the OP is trying to achieve by downsizing...
  2. Bumper not aligned, thoughts?

The panel gaps on my car aren't perfect. None as bad as the photo, but some are a little off.
  3. Gear shift knob cover to beat the heat

Personally I wear gloves. Comfortable year-round and helps preserve the Alcantara steering wheel. Also makes every drive feel special.
  4. Theft risk?

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to ask whether it's OK. I don't want to violate the terms of service.
  5. Theft risk?

Thanks. That is a good point indeed. I assumed vehicles weren't allowed in regular storage units, but I was wrong. Looks like I can get a 10x20 ft unit in the area for around $300/month. I'll factor this cost into my purchase decision.
  6. Theft risk?

Thanks for the input. I'll research long-term indoor car storage options in the area. It's not something I thought existed, but then again, I've never looked. Fingers crossed they do and are relatively affordable. ? On the topic, just saw this today: ?
  7. Theft risk?

I do! Just trying to gauge whether it's justified. I think it's not a particularly dangerous neighborhood, but don't have any hard data to compare it against others.
  8. Theft risk?

Hi everyone, I'm in an unusual situation where I spend most of the year in the US but also some months abroad. I don't have (and can't afford) a garage in the US (living a "double life" is expensive!). I just have an assigned parking spot. I have an old beater and have had no issues with theft...
  9. Required Fuel Type

Be that as it may, you should fill with premium whenever possible. You can use 87 in a pinch, but it'll cause knock. There is a knock sensor, but it is reactive, not proactive. Thus, there will be knock, and continued use may cause engine damage. It's not worth the risk.
  10. Differences USDM / EDM / JDM

PT is Portugal. 73.000 € out the door (has since increased to close to 75k) . MSRP. No discount or free accessories. There’s a waitlist and not enough cars to go around, so why would they.
  11. Differences USDM / EDM / JDM

Assuming MSRP you can be out the door for roughly $50K. I paid MSRP for my car and it was around $80K. Does that make you feel better? ? US buyers get an arguably lower spec, but a lot of value for money compared to many other markets.
  12. Differences USDM / EDM / JDM

Regarding the power output difference: The USDM ECU is calibrated for 91 AKI = 95 RON. The EDM ECU is calibrated for 98 RON = 93 AKI. As an EDM-spec owner I'll say that although the suede-effect fabric looks great, it is really hard to care for. Hard to keep clean and looking good. Traps dirt...
  13. 2025 Civic Sedan New Trims & Colors + Hybrid

Yes, I'm mostly wondering whether the US-spec Si will receive some of the Canada-spec goodies.
  14. 2025 Civic Sedan New Trims & Colors + Hybrid

Any Si updates you can share, or hint at? Thanks!
  15. Locking out of first gear

Have you tried putting it into third first, then neutral, clutch out, clutch in, and finally into first gear? It could potentially help. It does for reverse.
  16. Where are you getting rock chips?

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed, roadworks are really hard to deal with. And often unpredictable. ?
  17. Where are you getting rock chips?

Hi Shingo. If you don't mind me asking, where on the car are those chips? Thanks!
  18. I got the FL5 a little friend!

Congratulations! Seems to be in really great shape! I personally think this is an amazing pair. They provide very distinct driving experiences, while sharing the same ethos.
  19. The bolt cover to rule them all - 90651-S0A-003

Thanks for the feedback. That aligns better with my experience. Maybe we need to press on them harder? I didn’t want to risk marring the paint.
  20. The bolt cover to rule them all - 90651-S0A-003

Love your videos! Slightly off-topic but do your door striker covers stay in place? Mine are a little loose.
