Ya worst is driving when its still lots of snow on the ground, car is pretty low. So wait for the snow to be cleared! Some days I wouldnt drive it in the winter, so its always good to have a second car handy
  2. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

With proper winter tires should be no issue. Ive driven one winter, i have no complaints. Shouldn't it be easier to drive in traffic anyway? Id be more worried about winter in remote places where highways have snow on them, toronto cleans it up pretty quickly.

  11. Aftermarket tire experience

Not sure must be the fact it’s FWD, and yes I am more or less talking about a decent amount of standing water. I haven’t experienced this in my golf r in same conditions, and for some reason I remember my genesis coup give me hell of a lot more confidence as well with super sports. Genesis came...
  12. Aftermarket tire experience

Biggest negative I have for stock CTR tires is driving in rain. It does hydroplane a lot and I def do not feel confident pushing the car over 110-120kph in rain. I had a 21 golf r and I can’t remember what tires it had, it was continental extreme sport or something, but I def felt more confident...
  13. PPF Expectations

I mean it doesn’t matter what car it is, Mazda cx5 or a Ferrari, both customers pay same price and deserve the same quality of work. Unless the shops charge more money for a Ferrari or a civic type r :p
  14. PPF Expectations

Ya doesn’t look great, I highly doubt they can do a better job, it seems like a skill issue. No shame in that though, I know if I did it, it would look a lot worse. That being said I don’t tell people I can do it and charge for it.
  15. PPF Expectations

  17. PPF Expectations

3k usd is not cheap, I thought when you said friend did it, it was pretty much free + material. I paid 3k cad for same as yours minus rear black bumper. That sucks to hear, hope the redo is a bit better at least you can get a few years out of it and maybe redo it once it starts looking worse.
  18. PPF Expectations

Ya I had 5 ppf done before with a good shop and they were all perfect. I recommend to take it to a reputable ppf installer before it snowballs. There is no way they can do a good job all of a sudden, I wouldn’t waste time with it. This isn’t an easy job, I would never attempt this myself that’s...
  19. Canadian FL5/DE5 Build, Suggestions & Tips Thread

Anyone pick one of these up yet, they pretty much have it in every color and a few other flavours. I still can’t find it in Canada without having to pay 25$ usd just to ship from USA.
