We only care because of #savethemanuals
If the take rate is disproportionately leaning towards automatics, then manufacturers slowly stop offering the manual counterparts. Even BMW stopped offering manual cars in America, besides being optional only on the M2/M3/M4
You should take a screenshot of their list price online. They are supposed to honor whatever they list it at...
I did this back in 2019 when I bought my Si. They had listed a new Aegean blue Si for $22,600. I took a screenshot and then called them about it. They then changed their price...
This is the one I read
https://www.caranddriver.com/honda/civic-type-r
"We're also happy to hear that the next Type R will keep its manual transmission. Drivers who can't do the three-pedal shuffle might also get bailed out by a newly available dual-clutch automatic."
Maybe it's not confirmed...
Car and Driver also corroborated this. They said Honda has confirmed an AT option, but has not given details on it. Probably going to be an 8speed DCT if it was my guess.
I thought there was an article here about the US Integra? That it will look like an 11th gen Civic Hatchback with different bumpers, headlights and taillights.
Keep in mind that these cars literally became available less than 1 month ago. It may take a little time to find the color combo you want, even if we werent in the midst of a global pandemic. It took me a while to find a new Aegean Blue Si sedan w/in 500 miles of me in 2019.
The repercussions...
I don't know why Honda decided to make it bigger and heavier... 100% keeping my 2019 Si as a DD and will keep an eye out for the civicxii forum in 5-6 years ?
The car actually doesn't look so bad now that we get a 3D walkaround.
I just couldn't stand those damn guys recording it. It could've (and should've) been a 5-10 minute video MAX...
Is think this concept could very well be what the 11th gen Si will look like. Black wheels, BBK, integrated duckbill spoiler, dual exhaust. The base models might get a little more toned down.
I also think it could potentially be a performance variant of the ILX. Probably not an accord since that body style just came out in 2018. It still could be a 2022 CTR judging by the front bumper design.
Per their website, the height can be adjusted +24mm/-10mm (+0.945"/-0.393") compared to stock. From the pictures of the shifter, looks like you could cut off another 10-20mm from the bottom of the rod if you really wanted to. Just make sure to deburr or put a radius/chamfer on the edges after...
