This makes very little sense as a comp. Mid engine vs. Rear engine in the Porsche ( among other things) compared to a 95%+ comparable car between the CTR and the ITS.
Emotion, appeal, model value, model heritage are all just subjective viewpoints that aren't correlated to the fact that the 2...
There's a bumpy track and then there is unusable suspension settings. Outside of Sazuka, has there been a course where +R was a highlight on said track vs. Using a less aggressive setting?
He seems to be making a niche in reviewing wierd ass builds and wierd car industry update videos.
His production value went into the toilet also. Just not interesting to watch anymore.
Such a shame, before his stuff was really entertaining.
Acura dealerships are among the worst performing brands out there. I think they are bottom 3-5 auto brands in terms of total revenue.
They are DYING to build a clientele portfolio. I'd imagine they would be happy to sell you a ITS at MSRP if it meanz future prospects IMO. You shouldn't have...
As long as it is refundable, $2,500 isn't bad if it's a top 3 spot. I'd imagine we will find out allocations come May? So you're not loosing too too much in value for $$.
But it is interesting they asked for $2,500 most are asking for $1,000
Tell me what nameplate did the RSX use for their top model in NA? Type R or Type S. That was rhetorical we all know the answer.
Also, I am very aware of where Acura lives as a brand, the Type R was retired with the Integra and the Type S nameplate took over (in NA).
That's all I'm trying to...
TLX Type S is $60,500 Starting (before freight and PDI). I will bet anyone here $100 that the Integra type S won't start @ $60,000 MSRP (before freight and PDI).
Just use some sense of logic here guys. Pricing for models all falls within a spectrum of the current brands' available cars and...
Because Integra was always an Acura model (NA) and Type S is Acuras current and most recent model tier.
You are asking Acura to use a model tier name that doesn't exist period, outside of one legacy crossover vehicle that was sold on both brands worldwide, my guy.
There is no such thing as a Type R in the Acura playbook anymore. It's all marketing, since Acura picked up the Type S naming convention it has always been the top of Acuras branding.
NSX Type S is the prime example. There is not and will not ever be another Type R Acura ever. I don't know why...
Per the engineers, the S is meant to generate an emotional reaction on the streets, "freak on the streets" appeal
All the reviews seem to state it achieved that on their 2 laps driving it. So I'm hoping it's more focused on being a blast on the streets vs track.
Wait, Im saying the review say the S > R in terms of straight line stability. wouldn't downforce increase stability, aka the R > S in straight line stability.
I'm assuming what they tweaked in the S was much more oriented for straight line vs. corners.
One interesting theme I noticed in the drive reviews was that the media stated the S was more planted on higher speed straight away? Did anyone else catch that. More "confidence" is how they put it.
